The team at our vet clinic is committed to educating our clients on keeping their pets healthy year-round. It takes a combination of good nutrition, exercise, and staying updated on the latest advances in veterinary technology. Above all, we remember that all animals and pets need our attention and loving care. We give our highest level of care in every check-up, procedure, or surgery.

Dr. Raymond Polley, DVM

Dr. Polley received a doctorate in veterinary medicine from Ross University in 1994. He is a member of AVMA, NYSVMA, and LIVMA.

Dr. Raymond J Polley worked on the NY Mercantile Exchange for five years before deciding to go to veterinary school. After graduating, he worked in Florida for two years before coming back to Long Island and starting Garden City Veterinary Care in 1996. He and his wife, Kate, have three kids. They also have a cat and recently adopted a Jack Russell Terrier named Casey Jones Jr. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, camping, and skiing with his family.

Dr. Laurie Buscemi, DVM

Dr. Buscemi received her Bachelors of Science in 2002 from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. During that time she spent a semester abroad in Brisbane Australia. In 2005 she obtained a Masters of Science from Adelphi University. Her thesis dissertation and much of her research involved Canine Lymphoma. In 2009 she graduated from Western University of Health Sciences with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Her special interests include Oncology and Internal Medicine. She is USDA Class I accredited.

 

Dr. Liz Stietzle, DVM

Dr. Stietzle is a Long Island native and grew up in Shoreham, NY. When applying to colleges, she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian and was accepted to an early admission program at Kansas State University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 2016 and then continued on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 2020. After graduating, she completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island. In her free time, Dr. Stietzle enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, reading, and playing tennis.

Dr. Raymond Quim, DVM

Dr. Raymond Quim was born and raised in Queens, NY. He became interested in animals and wanted to become a veterinarian while attending Bronx High school of Science and volunteering at the Queens Zoo. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History at Binghamton University in 1998. He earned his DVM degree at Michigan State University in 2003.

Dr. Quim lives in Queens, NY with his spouse, two children, and a 60 lb black lab mix named Gemma. He enjoys running, snowboarding, skiing, and hiking.
