Dr. Raymond Polley, DVM
Dr. Polley received a doctorate in veterinary medicine from Ross University in 1994. He is a member of AVMA, NYSVMA, and LIVMA.
Dr. Raymond J Polley worked on the NY Mercantile Exchange for five years before deciding to go to veterinary school. After graduating, he worked in Florida for two years before coming back to Long Island and starting Garden City Veterinary Care in 1996. He and his wife, Kate, have three kids. They also have a cat and recently adopted a Jack Russell Terrier named Casey Jones Jr. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, camping, and skiing with his family.
Dr. Kimberly Levine
Dr. Kimberly Levine is a New York native, having grown up in Oceanside, New York. Dr. Levine received her doctorate of veterinary medicine from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. After graduation, she spent a year pursuing additional training during a rotating internship, with an emphasis on emergency medicine. Since then, Dr. Levine has worked in various areas of veterinary medicine throughout the country, including emergency medicine, high volume surgery, feline exclusive medicine, and shelter medicine. She has developed strong interests in feline medicine, dermatology, and soft tissue surgery. She is also an active member of the AVMA, LIVMA, and NYSVMA.
Dr. Levine has since returned to her native roots and settled in New York to be closer to her family. She lives with her husband, their two cats, Nicholas and Olivia, their ferret, Locke, and their dog,
Dr. Laurie Buscemi, DVM
Dr. Buscemi received her Bachelors of Science in 2002 from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. During that time she spent a semester abroad in Brisbane Australia. In 2005 she obtained a Masters of Science from Adelphi University. Her thesis dissertation and much of her research involved Canine Lymphoma. In 2009 she graduated from Western University of Health Sciences with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Her special interests include Oncology and Internal Medicine. She is USDA Class I accredited.
She spent the past 5 years working at a small animal practice in Queens and is excited to be the newest addition to Garden City Veterinary Care. When Dr. Laurie Buscemi is not working she is keeping busy spending time with her husband, two young children, dog Bosch and FIV+ cats Mr. Jeeves and Mimi. She enjoys surfing, SCUBA diving, and traveling.

I am highly trained and experienced in providing prompt and intensive management of patients with life-threatening conditions and those requiring extraordinary supportive care. My multi-disciplinary approach and close cooperation allow me to offer the best care available to the patients entrusted to me. My caseload encompasses patients with a wide range of orthopedic, neurologic, oncologic (cancer), thoracic, and soft tissue problems. I am available for surgery, consultation, assistance with difficult surgical cases, or when the use of specialized surgical equipment or techniques is required. My combined effort allows me to confer on patient management, to be readily available for trauma or other emergency referrals, and to further expand our own surgical sub-specialties. My practice is equipped with the latest specialized instrumentation and equipment. The safest anesthetic agents are used, and patients are continuously monitored throughout anesthesia. Kate Polley is the Practice Manager at Garden City Veterinary Care. She and Dr. Polley have been married for 19 years. They have three children Raymond, a senior at Chaminade High School, Lauren a Sophomore at Sacred Heart Academy, and Patrick, a 5th grader at Stewart school. Kate loves her two Jack Rusell Terriers, Casey Jones, and Pepper. As a family, they enjoy the beach, skiing, and travel.
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Marisela has loved animals her whole life, thanks to her dad. She decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She attended LaGuardia community college for Veterinary Technology and then Mercy College to finish her Bachelors. She loves her two dogs Luigi, a Miniature Daschund and Chloe, a Cockalier. In her free time she enjoys trying new restaurants with her fiancé and spending time with her nieces Daniela and Isabella.
Emma graduated from the University of Vermont in May 2017 where she received a Bachelor’s degree in science, her major was animal science.

Cindy lives in East Meadow with her husband and son, who is a recent graduate of Hofstra Law and a practicing attorney. She has experience processing pet insurance claims and loves to help clients and their pets. She loves to spend time with her dogs Captain Jack Sparrow and Destiny.
